Predators' Hartnell back in lineup for Game 6

With the Predators up 1-0 after one period, Forsberg doubled the lead at 8:44 of the second on a great solo rush for his sixth of the postseason.

While the two teams from Manitoba and Tennessee are competing on the ice, their respective law firms wanted to do the same off the ice.

As has been the case throughout this hard-fought series, no team has been able to string together consecutive victories. That's because for much of the post-season, and most certainly this entire series, as goes Rinne, so do the Predators.

"It will be fun". The other Jets goal scorers were Mathieu Perreault of Drummondville, Quebec and Paul Stastny. It's the best group of guys I've ever played with.

Be among friends and in the middle of a "Whiteout" when the Winnipeg Jets face the Nashville Predators in a victor takes all game seven. Taking a centering feed from Arvidsson, he put the puck through his legs before snapping it past Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck for a 3-0 lead at 5:55 of the third. The Jets and Predators victor will face the victor of the San Jose Sharks and Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Final.

What the Jets need to change is how they are defending Forsberg, who has nine points (three goals, six assists) in the series.

The NHL's two best regular-season teams will need a Game 7 to settle their Western Conference semifinal series. "It just takes a lot of practise, takes a lot of you doing", Forsberg said. "They're not going to take penalties on us, but we just want to be disturbing, be a pest and get all over them and hopefully our line can chip in for a couple tonight".

Now the Jets, who just won their first playoff series in the first round, will have a chance to clinch a spot in their first Western Conference final Monday night in Game 6 back in Winnipeg. Roman Josi and Ryan Johansen each had two assists.

The Jets took a huge step towards meeting Vegas on Saturday night when they put four goals past Pekka Rinne in the second period, ultimately chasing the odds-on favorite for the Vezina Trophy in what became a 6-2 victory.

The best chance for the Jets in the opening period was courtesy of Bryan Little, but he was stopped by the left pad of Rinne.

Now this young, fast, resilient team is one victory from reaching the West final at what will no doubt be a thunderous Bell MTS Place on Monday night.

After backstopping the Predators to the Stanley Cup final last spring, Rinne was determined to help keep his team's season alive and he did by delivering a 34-save shutout.

The Grammy Award-winning country trio of Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott, and Dave Haywood were smoothly singing through their flawless harmonies, but when it came to the words "O'er the ramparts we watched", things started to get a little wonky - as seen in the video above.

"Our power play is a results-driven power play".

Little's availability was in question after he was the lone member of the Jets to skip the morning skate.

The Predators' top line provided all the offence they needed. "And the last thing I wanted to do was step on toes or mess up the chemistry that was already on this team", Stastny said. "It's not going to be an easy ride. It's just another learning experience from us and we'll grow from it". Forsberg stayed onside, fought off Jets defenseman Ben Chairot and beat Hellebuyck short-side before crashing into the net. "It wasn't like we snuck away with one or weaseled a game out or whatever you want to call it. And they lost. It's playoff hockey".
