The Mi 6X comes in a whopping five color options - Cherry Powder, Red Flame, Sand Gold, Glacier Blue, and Black Stone. The 6GB RAM and 64GB storage alternative will cost Yuan 1799, which comes to Rs 18,990 or more in Indian currency.
The Mi 6X has 64 GB storage models that respectively feature 4 GB of RAM and 6 GB of RAM. Users will have to book the phone in advance before buying it.
The fingerprint reader sits at the back and the USB Type-C port sits at the bottom.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is backed by a 3010 mAh battery and it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with company's latest MIUI. Coming to the updates, a new firmware update carrying the version number as v184.108.40.206 is now available for the Mi A1. The front camera is a 20megapixel IMX376 sensor with soft LED flash and fixed focal length.
In what must've been a heartbreaking move for the company, it ditched the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 that it uses in practically all of its phones (and the Mi 5X) in favour of the 660. Both the rear camera and the front camera are also expected to feature artificial intelligence-based scene selection modes, something that was seen in the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The device will be up for sale in China from April 27th.
Xiaomi only joined the 2:1 smartphone screen aspect ratio movement last fall by expanding the real estate of the ultra-high-end Mi MIX 2, and in addition to unveiling another "full screen" flagship, the Chinese OEM has already flooded the market with a bunch of extra-wide, thin-bezeled mid-rangers.
The display on Xiaomi Mi 6X is a 5.99-inch panel with FullHD+ resolution (2160x1080 pixels). Up front, the Mi 6X features a tall 18:9 screen with rounded edges and a vertically placed dual camera setup with the LED flash nestled between the two lenses, reminiscent of the Redmi Note 5 Pro.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was launched in India back in February.
The 12-megapixel secondary sensor comes with f/1.75 aperture. Well, this phone is very likely going to be the upcoming successor to the Xiaomi Mi A1, which was one of the best budget phones of 2017. It takes 30 minutes only to charge the half capacity of the Mi 6X's battery. This Xiaomi smartphone runs on Android Nougat 7.1.2 with MIUI 9 on top. However, it will be arriving with other connectivity features like USB-C, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, Global Positioning System and GLONASS.
