"He's alive, he's got a chance and that's what I'm hanging on to", White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper told reporters.

According to USA Today, Farquhar had another procedure Saturday night and is still in the intensive care unit at the hospital.

On Friday, Farquhar collapsed after he began vomiting in the dugout during the sixth inning of the White Sox game against the Houston Astros.

Visible to much of the ballpark, Danny Farquhar's uniform served as a striking reminder that the relief pitchers seated behind it and the rest of the Sox had their minds on something bigger than baseball during their 10-1 loss to the Astros.

Shahpar said no one can imagine something like this happening, especially to a baseball player and during the middle of a game. On Saturday, the White Sox said the 31-year-old suffered a brain hemorrhage. They left a quiet clubhouse to take batting practice and play catch, but players said their minds were on Farquhar. I'm praying for him and hoping for nothing but the best. But he's got three little kids, and they were his world. "Right now he's being treated, and hopefully it's all going to be good". My God, this certainly shows the fragility of life and how we take every day for granted. At the family's request, the team is releasing no information on Farquhar's treatment. "And prayers are more necessary than talk".

What makes the situation all the more upsetting is how loved Farquhar is by his family, friends and teammates, a result of the type of person he is.
