Dallas Police Department says two officers have been shot and critically wounded, and one civilian has, as well.
Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall said at a 10 p.m. update that all three officers were out of surgery, and she requested prayer for them.
The Dallas Police Department tweeted about the shooting, giving the conditions of the officers.
Police said he may have fled in a white pickup truck.
State, local and federal law enforcement agencies were assisting the Dallas Police Department, Chief Hall said.
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings said, "We got our man".
The city did not intend at this time to release the names of the officers or their medical status at the hospital because that would be inconsiderate to the families, the mayor said.
According to a report in an ABC-affiliated television station, WFAA-TV, the incident took place at the Lake Highlands store where officers were helping an off-duty policeman serve a warrant along with a Home Depot loss prevention officer when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot at them.
Armando Luis Juárez is a 29-year-old Latin male and a person of interest in this case. She did not provide details of their conditions but asked for continued prayers for their recovery.
