Gronkowski is not expected to attend the start of the Patriots' offseason program, which opens Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. In other years, Brady has been a regular participant at the team's offseason program, but he will miss at least the beginning this year.
With training camp set to begin next month, the Patriots should get their answer concerning Gronkowski at some point over the next few weeks.
Even though he has been working out at TB12, and getting his body in shape, Gronkowski still has yet to fully commit to playing the 2018 season.
Gronkowski turned in yet another strong year with the Patriots in 2017. Gronkowski is still under contract through the 2019 National Football League season, as he still has two years left on his six-year, $54 million extension with $19 million left in both base salary and bonuses.
The star tight end is still weighing his options for the 2018 season, Schefter reported. He was also a force in the playoffs, catching three scores in three games.
