A fight Joshua would settle once and for all which heavyweight champion is the better boxer.
The purse-split and choice of venue are understood to have been wedge issues, to this point preventing fans from looking ahead to a heavyweight fight for the ages.
"Last night we got an email from Deontay Wilder personally offering us $50m and we have to give him a yes or no today", explained Hearn.
In a Twitter video posted Wednesday, the American backed up reports that his camp had emailed Britain's Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn an offer of a minimum of $50 million.
However Finkel makes it clear that until Joshua accepts the sum offered, no negotiations will take place beforehand till a yes is given by the unified world heavyweight champion.
"I just sent them what they wanted".
WBC champion Wilder is desperate to fight Joshua who has the IBF, WBA and WBO belts to find an undisputed champion.
'(The offer) is more of a PR move than anything but an interesting development all the same.
Finkel added that the proposal to get the Briton to a fight will include the pay-per-view in the United States; all of Joshua's title fights have been on pay-per-view in the United Kingdom, his home country.
Hearn, who is in NY for a fight card this weekend, said it was "a great PR stunt" by Wilder's team ahead of their scheduled meeting on Saturday (NZT) to start face-to-face negotiations. If [Joshua] says he is not going to take $50m, it means he doesn't really want to fight him next. I assure you that we're serious and we would be glad to sit down with you and provide proper security for the funding and work out all the details. "But we have a meeting on Friday, and we will go through the offer". "All the money is in the bag and I expect you to be a man of your word".

Wilder's manager Shelly Finkel confirmed to ESPN that an offer had been made.
"But this is substantial money, and if there is something there then we will definitely look at it".
Wilder added: "Tell Eddie Hearn to let you personally check his email this time".
I think the two-and-a-half years out of the ring helped me.
"This is the fight Anthony Joshua wants next, he's already told me that".
