The unemployment rate for Vermont's 17 labor market ranged from a low of 2.3 percent in White River Junction to 6.4 percent in Derby.
Colorado's unemployment rate held steady at 3 percent from December to January, keeping it below the national unemployment rate of 4.1 percent. The department says the state's rate of unemployment has been below 4 percent for 26 consecutive months, which is the longest stretch since the current methodology was put in place in 1976. Fairfield County fared the worst, with an unemployment rate of 10.1 percent in January.
In Albania's population of 2.87 million, unemployment rate among men was 13.7 percent in the end of 2017, while among women it was 12.9 percent, INSTAT said. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2016, the labour force participation rate is 1.7 percentage points higher.
With the recalculations, the rate was 4.5 in May, 4.4 percent from June through September, and back to 4.5 percent in October through January. The state added 10,500 jobs over the month and 150,000 over the year, paralleling national gains. Just 2.9 percent of the state's labor force is out of work.
The number of people classified as unemployed declined to a seasonally adjusted 96,678, the lowest figure since February 2000.
The state's nonfarm employment increased by 9,200 overall with job gains led by durable goods manufacturing, up 2,100 and wholesale trade, up 3,200.
When measuring by the employer payroll survey, there was a net gain of 7,600 private-sector jobs and a net gain of 1,100 government jobs from December to January. This compares with 351,959 in December and 386,875 in January of a year ago.
The information industry lost 1,800 jobs while retail trade shed 1,600 jobs.
"We're healing economically, but it's not revealed in the labor force numbers", Parker said.
