I think it's fair that Nintendo fans have been starving for new information.
For all those out of the loop and living under a rock apart from the gaming world, Nintendo Directs are Nintendo's signature mini-press conferences aired via YouTube. One of the more prominent news revealed by the presentation was the announcement of Dark Souls Remastered for the Nintendo Switch, which will be released on May 25th, 2018. It's been a full year since the Nintendo Switch first launched. Still, it was suspicious that Nintendo filed for a Super Smash Bros. logo trademark and the fact that a special Smash easter egg exists in the Switch version of Bayonetta 2. The popular rumor is Diablo III coming to the hybrid console, but that's still unclear, with Blizzard denying the speculation and a new report stating the port is happening. Nintendo will also show off other 2018 games for Switch and 3DS. At this point there's no hard release date, but perhaps Nintendo is ready to give fans a day to circle on their calendars.
To see what Nintendo officially has planned, tune in tomorrow at 2:00 pm PT on the official Nintendo Direct website.
