"I am self-educated", she said in a sneak peek of her interview with Bill Whitaker.
But when her character, Dominika, suffers a career-ending injury, she is recruited to Sparrow School, a Russian intelligence service, where she becomes a lethal operative with a mission to target an American CIA agent (Joel Edgerton). "I don't technically have a GED (General Educational Development) or a diploma". Lawrence said. But when she read through scripts during her modeling days, the actress said something clicked ― and she suddenly knew what she wanted to do.
"I I feel like I know exactly what it would look like if somebody felt that way".
She went on to say, "This is sexist, this is ridiculous, this is not feminism".
In fact, Lawrence adds that she even prioritized her work over friends for a good chunk of her career.
But she doesn't regret that decison. "This is what I was meant to do, '" she said.
