Nokia 6 2018 Leaked ahead of Launch - First Look, Price, Specifications

The smartphone could debut at CES 2018, which is just around the corner. Also, the Finnish phone maker has been planning to announce the most awaited phone Nokia 9 at a China event on January 19, 2018.

TENAA is China's telecommunications authority, similar to the FCC in the United States, and it's usually among the last stops a device has to make before it's ready to hit the market.

The Nokia 6 2018, be that as it may, should be an uncommon patch up of the first Nokia 6, which may chafe some potential purchasers, however. So an anniversary upgraded model is a nice gesture, but the Nokia 6 (2018) packs in competitive hardware for the asking price.

Pricing for the Nokia 6 (2018) is expected to start at CNY1499 ($240 USD) for the 32GB model.

Diving deep into the specifications, the Nokia 6 2018 version features a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS display, 16:9 aspect ratio with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on the top for protection. The second-generation Nokia 6 will also be available with a choice of 32 or 64 GB internal storage, for respectively CNY 1,499 or CNY 1,699. The memory will be expandable with a micro SD up to 128 GB. On the camera side, the device will sport a single 16 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash.

The Nokia 6 (2018) is pre-loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat and includes a fast charging port. As what we can see, the solid metal build remains, leaving no hope for wireless charging. However, there's a good chance that the Nokia 6 (2018) will get a wider launch later in the year. The body of Nokia 6 (2018) has a metal unibody and it is made of nearly 6000 series aluminum. It will be offered in two color variants - black with orange accents, and white with red accents.

In the photography department, the smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0 along with OZO audio recording feature. But this device was much less powerful and it had an entry-level SoC, while the new model will sport a mid-range processor.
