Millie Bobby Brown to play 'detective Holmes'

Brown is also set to appear in Legendary's Godzilla sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

According to Deadline, Brown will be starring in and producing a film series based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries novel series for Legendary Entertainment.

With the Sherlock Holmes property getting more attention in the recent years, I can imagine a lot of people would be curious as to what The Enola Holmes Mysteries have in store.

The young adult book series, which began with 2006's The Case of the Missing Marquess and spans six novels, revolves around Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes' teenage younger sister, Enola. The first and fifth books of the series were both nominated for Edgar Awards.

Brown is popular for her character as "Eleven" in the Hollywood web series Stranger Things. Come to think of it, the Olsens also used their company to produce a young girl detective series in their straight-to-video series The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley as well. Since the news is so new, there's no word yet on a title, release date, or other stars.

Overseeing the project for Legendary Pictures are Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes.

Even so, the idea of Millie Bobby Brown solving crimes in 1880s England is definitely enough to get us excited.
