Redmi 5A: Unboxing and first impressions


With a 5000 mAh powerhouse, Bharat 5 has stolen the competition from Desh Ka Smartphone that embeds a 3000 mAh battery. It was revealed that the Redmi 5 will sport a 5.7-inch display with full HD+ resolution.

In terms of design, Micromax's latest Bharat 5 comes with an all plastic back and prominent bezels at the front. The phone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC. Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone comes with 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and 32GB storage.

The Redmi 5A again looks to be the victor here as it comes sporting a 13-megapixel camera on the backwith f/2.2 aperture, Phase Detection Autofocus and LED flash. There's Adreno 308 GPU for enhanced graphics performance. The array of sensors on the device include an acccelerometer, a proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A will go on sale in India starting December 7, via Flipkart and Mi.com along with other offline partner channels. A 3000mAh battery completes the package. The operating system of the phone is Android Nougat with MIUI 9. After the introductory scheme expires, Xiaomi will sell the device at Rs 5,999 for the base variant and Rs 6,999 for the higher 3GB/32GB variant.
