The Nintendo Switch RPG Xenoblade Chronicles 2 arrives in just a bit over a month, and The Big N just released a mess of new details about the upcoming adventure. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will include a $30 season pass that unlocks content from launch up until Fall 2018, including a new Battle Mode, a new side-story adventure, and a smattering of other packs.
Finally, the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion pass add-ons will begin rolling out in December 2017.
Surprisingly, a new side quest will be added to Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, which gifts you a costume to dress up as Xenoblade Chronicles 2 protagonist Rex. In addition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will receive a day-one DLC patch that brings an optional Japanese audio track.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 comes out on December 1 for the Nintendo Switch and is now available for pre-order. That quest will be available from November 9. Rex, the main character, is a Driver while his companion Pyra is a Blade.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 lands on Switch on December 1. Launching alongside the game is a themed Pro Controller for $75. These humanoid weapons boost Drivers' power in battles in many different ways, depending on the Blades' unique abilities. Aside from this, the game's Expansion Pass was announced, which is available for pre-purchase starting today for $29.99. This special version includes the game, a beautifully illustrated hardbound art book filled with 220 pages of concept designs and artwork of the characters, landscapes and objects from the game, a sound-selection CD of numerous games memorable music tracks, and a special metal case containing the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 game card at a suggested retail price of $99.99. Special landmarks can also be traveled to at any time.
