Gal Gadot said refusing 'Wonder Woman' sequel over Brett Ratner involvement

Gadot did not link her cancellation at the awards dinner to the allegations against Ratner, instead saying she had a scheduling conflict. Ratner has been accused by several women of sexual assault, including rape by a former employee.

And last week, actress Ellen Page penned a Facebook post recounting a moment on the set of X-Men: The Last Stand - which Ratner directed - alleging that Ratner harassed her by specifically telling another woman to "fuck her to make her realize she's [Page is] gay".

Wonder Woman was the highest-grossing movie of the summer stateside with $412.6 million. Not that Wonder Woman needs any help getting financing; it's already proved itself, just like Gadot.

'She also knows that Warner Bros. has to side with her on this issue as it develops. Warner Bros. had chosen December 13 back when Episode IX was scheduled for May 2019, and under the wings of Colin Trevorrow.

A person familiar with the decision said that Ratner's expired first-look production deal with the studio will not be renewed and that he will no longer occupy the office space he rented on the company's lot in Burbank, Calif.

Gal Gadot has repeatedly in the past made it clear that she takes a strong stand against sexual harassment and harassers.

Ratner has been accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women, and has since has vehemently denied the allegations against him through his attorney.

Ratner's production company Rat-Pac Dune had co-financed the first Wonder Woman movie in an agreement with Warner Bros.

Undoubtedly pleased with the response they received with their release of the "Wonder Woman" movie, Warner Bros. has announced that they will be bumping up the release date for the sequel, tentatively titled "Wonder Woman 2".

Earlier this month, Olivia Munn, Natasha Henstridge, and four other women told The Los Angeles Times that Ratner had made unwelcome sexual advances toward them.

The rumours surrounding Ratner have always been brewing, but recent accusations from six women, including actresses Olivia Munn and Natasha Henstridge, as well as Ellen Page's epic Facebook post about the director outing her and humiliating her on set, have brought his misconduct all out into the open. "I stand by all the courageous women confronting their fears and speaking out".
