When the stream kicked off with a montage of all the previous main series games and their year of release, Shin Megami Tensei V was all but confirmed.
The fact that Shin Megami Tensei is coming to the Nintendo Switch was not fresh news. Atlus is also similarly keeping Persona series as a PlayStation console exclusive even though Persona is a spin-off based on the Shin Megami Tensei series.
Ten months after a Shin Megami Tensei project was revealed to be in development for Nintendo Switch, Atlas finally provided more details during a livestream. Despite having originally been teased back in January during the Nintendo Switch reveal presentation, we've heard hide nor hair of the Switch title, but now we've gotten our first glimpse at the upcoming game. It continues with a shot of demon corpses in a tunnel and after that, the students surrounded by flying demons in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo street.
We don't have a release date or any other info for SMT 5 other than what we can see in the trailer.
The last time we saw Shin Megami Tensei was back in 2013 when Shin Megami Tensei IV was released for Nintendo 3DS.
