The company's new service is called Amazon Key, and it's essentially a high-tech alternative to leaving a key under your mat.

And in the coming months, Amazon will release a service making it possible to schedule access for thousands of providers, such as house cleaners, dog walkers and more, according to the news release. "All in-home deliveries are backed by Amazon Key Happiness Guarantee, so you can rest easy knowing your package will be waiting just inside your door". Some customers think so after the online retailer announced its newest product today: "Amazon Key". The Internet retailer didn't immediately respond to a Free Press request asking which MI locations will be among the first to get Amazon Key, but several zip codes across metro Detroit are shown to be eligible.
All of this is captured by the security camera, and a video of the entire event is sent to the customer to review. Note, only Prime-eligible items can be delivered in-home.

Their system is a bit simpler: the delivery person is given a one-time code, which opens the door and alerts customers on their smartphones after the carrier enters. The proper package tag then will unlock the door and allow the carrier to place the package inside.
The bundle is now avail;able for pre-order but is exclusive to Amazon Prime members.
