A bailiff and armed guard also suffered bullet wounds in the attack, lawyer Sofia Rubasskaya, who was in the building at the time, told TASS. Three of them are police and National Guard officers.

The three defendants were members of a gang that were involved in "one of the more lurid episodes of Moscow's recent past". She was injured, her face was [covered] in blood. When the elevator reached the third floor, Russian National Guard officers were already there.
The two surviving attackers were in hospital with gunshot wounds but were not in serious condition, the official said.
