Thunderstorms and rain expected Thursday along the Front Range


Some of the storms could produce gusty winds. Look for skies to clear out this evening.

It will continue throughout the day today before tapering off tomorrow while highs reach the low to mid-70s. It looks to remain dry through the night and into the overnight.

Thursday night: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m.

Computer models show another chance of showers Sunday PM. So expect a decent weekend, but if you were hoping for it to be a sunny, warm and rain free each day, you will be disappointed.

Friday: Mostly cloudy, showers likely (maybe a thunderstorm too). Northeast wind 9 to 11 miles per hour.

"The strongest storms will be capable of producing large hail", reads a weather service alert. Northwest wind around 5 miles per hour becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Up to a half an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 61.

Friday: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. But, we should all prepare for rainy periods this afternoon with lighter winds NE 5-10 miles per hour.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 69. Southwest wind 6 to 8 miles per hour. During the rest of the day Sunday, we will have partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid to upper 80s. East wind 7 to 11 miles per hour. Rain is not expected during the day, but some showers could break out at night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Sunday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m.

Saturday, a 60 percent chance of showers and storms.

Clouds return for Saturday with much of the day staying dry. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Sunday night: Mostly clear with a low around 58.

Tuesday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.

Friday will have mostly sunny skies. The winds have now turned back to the south earlier today. Low near 59. There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation.

Thursday: Showers this morning, then a lull towards or during the evening commute.
